Router as an easy home webserver?

Hi,

is it poosible to use internal webserver to serving a couple of easy pages out? There are some free place to use it in EEPROM. If YES - is it secure :?:

The firmwares either have thttpd or mini-httpd, so you can in theory do anything that those web servers allow you to do. As for whether it would be secure, I leave that to the networking and internet experts.
