My router is is a Technicolor TG582n.
So I'm hosting a small server for me and a friend on a game (project zomboid) and the server requires me to forward ports 16261 (+1 for every player) and 8766 (+1 for every player). I've done this using the port forwarding website tutorial, (http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... tguide.htm ,and it didn't work; I've also used other tutorials. Nothing has worked. Each time I just get 'Can't connect to server'. I also tried testing to see if they're open by using an online site.
Here's what else I've tried to try and get it work:
- Disabling my firewall
- Changing the port number to a lower port (6744) just incase my router wouldn't allow the higher port
- Created a static ip
Any help would be much appreciated
I cannot get my Technicolor router to forward ports!

Not an ideal way of doing it, You could put your server in the DMZ. That will prove the server can be seen on your network.
