XBOX Networking

Hi routertech,

are 8 port network switches suitable to link up 4 xbox 360's ?

If network ports are the way the you link XBOXs together and you don't need an internet connection then I'm sure that should do the trick provided you set up the XBOXs and the switch properly. Me personally speaking I am no expert at networking and definitely not at networking XBOXs.

PS You would only need a 4 port switch for 4 XBOXs surely?

Gazzer is of course correct :D

A 4 port network switch (or hub) would suffice but a 5 ( or 8 ) port switch would of course allow the switch to be connected to an adsl/cable router allowing all connected devices internet access - although a 4 port ADSL router would of course also do both jobs in one box :wink:
