Any users who have flashed their router with this firmware already and currently has a brick for a router is advised to post in the firmware area of our forum for help in recovering it - it is possible

UPDATE - 26th Jan 2007
Safecom have released another version 5 (370.070124a1) firmware.
However, this is still plagued by similar problems and there is still a very good chance of turning your router into a 'brick'. The wireless aspect will only work with newer routers (with the correct wireless chip) and it is difficult to achieve a WAN connection.
In addition to this if you do manage to get it working Safecom have resorted to placing a 'lock' on this firmware, making it much harder to upgrade to any 3rd party firmwares (such as ours) once it is installed.
The advice from us is still the same - to stay well away from this firmware.
It is worth noting that you can still upgrade your router to the RouterTech firmware using the PCTool even if you have installed the v5 firmware from safecom. Ask in our forums if you need any help with this
