Now back on topic we go....
Apparently not it seems :?

O.K. Last try before I put my Moderator's hat on

CropRotation - don't bother searching - the post I was referring to was the one by "ezypcy" on the previous page of THIS thread.......

.....Now Moderator Hat is Firmly ON so can we please follow Kieran's subtle hint and keep ALL further posts in this thread directly related to the topic "How Did You Find Us?"

.....or else

EDIT: Apologies Kieran - posts crossed in the ether - feel free to delete mine if necessary

Filled in the poll as other - sort of found this site from (the other place where you all used to live) - figuring something had happened there and a bit of googling brought me here, although the other site definitely didn't refer me.

I always enjoy having a browse through the forum - just to see what is going on, and what questions people have.
(Touching wood) - My router just keeps on routering without any problems - and my lack of imagination hasn't thrown up anything that I need an answer for - so I will probably just keep watching from the sidelines.

The ASR8400 (f/w billion b213) has loads of stuff attached to it and it all works fine (except for when my ISP has a wobbly) - (PS2 - Kiss DVD Player - Network IP cam - Freecom Network hard drive - hub - and various PC's) - ports forwarded for whatever game the kids are playing this week - and it all just works.

Anyway - good luck with the new(ish) site / forum and keep up the good work.

Cheers Guys,

Nice to be here.

I think Neo modded my tufty club badge on t'other forum (thanks by the way Neo) - I was originally going for the punky look (aka cr*p) - being an ex punk and ex tufty club member (or are you a tufty club member for life ?)

The sig came because the day job involves roads and computers and tied the 2 together.

Wow never realised how much thought I put into it !!

Anyway good luck with the new venture. Hopefully some manufacturers will cotton on and send you loads of gear to play with (sorry I mean review).

Nice to know that all your knowledge and experience is still available when I mess too much and break things.

Hi folks,

Well I've just joined because I have an Origo ASR 8400 that so far has run faultlessly for a couple of years at least, and I built a system for a mate using a Netgear router and that has fallen over within 12 months.

The thing is I 'm checking for a new mode/router for him to replace the NG, and when working through various links from Google, came across http://www.origo-repair.org.uk/index.htm by Mugwump and clicked on the link there.

Hi Chaos - welcome to Routetech :)

Great to see a new member - hope we live up to your expectations

Regarding your search for a new router for your friend - perhaps you might care to start a new thread in one of the router discussion forums - which one will depend on what you currently think the requirements of the routera re - e.g. wireless/wired only - number of ethernet ports - do you require USB connectivity for PC connection or perhaps a printserver etc. etc.

Also a good idea to mention the budgte you have in mind in that's an important factor.....

Look forward to seeing your post. :D
