Life after the AR7

Post by davidedrury » Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:42 pm

Hi team,

Tell me to wash my mouth out if you wish ... but

Does the team think that the AR7 is nearing the end of its life (insofar as new routers can/are using a more modern/powerful chipset - I have no idea if this is true, I'm playing devil's advocate), and if so what would they like to design for next?

I don't think the AR7 is anywhere near the end of its life. The main rival for these cheapie home routers is Broadcom. There is very little to choose between them.

If and when the AR7 router finally becomes useless, then we shall assess the situation ...
