Nice list of compatibles there. Personally I am still using a freebie Safecom SWLU(Z)-5400 based on the ZyDas ZD1211 chipset, this is also supported in the kernel.

Ubuntu 6.10 and then using Automatix to add missing codecs that don't come with a vanilla install. Some users are side stepping this and going for Linux Mint, essentially the same as Ubuntu but with the codecs from the start.
