So which Linux should I try?

Talk about anything you like here: as long as it's technical, doesn't fit into the other categories and is within the rules. Questions and discussions about operating systems, programming, websites, hosting, ADSL etc. are particularly welcome here.

Exactly, do you think that I am insane enough to pay Dell prices for ink?

'sright - brand new spares for my Canon BJC-4200 which has just got to break down one day. When that day comes it will be just my luck to find that the Dell ink cartridges have dried up, even inside those foil-wrapped packs designed to keep them fresh as the moment they were fried - hang on, my train of thought seems to have derailed.....

Yup, at £10 pound each, with cartridges that is cheaper than the £25 Dell charge for ink. Once the ink is gone the printer does go either in the bin or gets given to a friend. Printer/Scanner/Copier all in one for a tenner including ink, again sling it in the bin at that price or give it away. Less than a round of beer down the local.

Sounds a darn good deal to me, although you can't go wrong with a laser printer IMHO
