Better Video player suggestions ? flv/swf

Talk about anything you like here: as long as it's technical, doesn't fit into the other categories and is within the rules. Questions and discussions about operating systems, programming, websites, hosting, ADSL etc. are particularly welcome here.

Checked out mplayer and a gui frontend- quite cool BUT although it allows you to slow down the playback speed (min seem to be .36) still does not support frame advance or reverse.....

i always thought vlc could do that frame advance it has a toolbar for it
but i checked and vlc can now only advance not rewind in frame by frame mode

also try media layer classic home cinema (mpc hc) YMMV with this as rewind and forward frame by frame is flaky depends on decoder used divx file works but no idea if works for flv files or not
