Flash Animation

Talk about anything you like here: as long as it's technical, doesn't fit into the other categories and is within the rules. Questions and discussions about operating systems, programming, websites, hosting, ADSL etc. are particularly welcome here.

Flash Animation

Post by Steve » Wed May 24, 2006 7:03 pm

Anyone know much about flash animation?

My problem is that there is a site with a large flash animation which my wife wants to be able to run locally rather than rely on the link to the site being available.

I can see the file in temp internet files folder, but when I open it with IE I just get the warning about content being blocked, which I then allow...then I get a plain screen. The animation will not start running.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you supply the URL? Perhaps via PM? :)

Usually it's possible to extract the flash...but some websites have restrictions/dynamically generated flash which makes it rather difficult.

Thanks, I've got you version and will pass it along to those who wanted it.

I also got the original swf file to work from temp internet file once I'd figured out it just had not started playing automatically.

Much appreciated as always.

See, it was easier than you thought it would be :)

I thought it was going to be one of those sites all done in flash which can be rather frustrating at times :boxing:

Have you always got to have the last word or something, Jim? Even when you haven't said anything in this topic until now

I'm not even sure who is the pot and who is the kettle in your reference? :P
