ROUTER ROBOT

Talk about anything you like here: as long as it's technical, doesn't fit into the other categories and is within the rules. Questions and discussions about operating systems, programming, websites, hosting, ADSL etc. are particularly welcome here.

ROUTER ROBOT

Post by avivmas » Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:27 am

hello
i installed the last version of routertech,
my router is Aztech 600EW (adam2 bootloader).

i see that router of linksys have many guides in the internet of option to make robot with this router.
i want to know more about how to turn the router into a robot with this firmware, i mean how to add LCD or small servo engine.
I think to connect to USB LED something like relay, and send a command with TELNET.
someone know more options?
and how i can to write a program into the my router?

thanks.

As far as I am aware, there's nothing in the RouterTech firmware that enables you to turn the router into a "robot".

Yes, copy guides elsewhere if someone has done that - or buy a board designed for such experimentation "Arduino" for example.

If you are not using usb you could do this though
I think to connect to USB LED something like relay, and send a command with TELNET.
Use a light sensitive transistor strapped to the front of your router and use the "Led" command!
