hello there,
I am a newbie to dsl fraternity. I using a shared connection with my cousin. It was working fine up untill now but now he has shared it with a third person. Even after that it worked fine but these days the speed has slowed down to dial up level. Is there any way to measure what speed i am getting from the router? so that i can confirm that its the third person who is causing the problem.
Just recently some one has cut the wire on the roof and i had to install an Ethernet to Ethernet connector in order to over that problem.
so whats the problem? the connector or the third person??
Is there any way to check bandwidth?
Re: Is there any way to check bandwidth?
Can you not check by a process of elimination?
ie. get the third party to disconnect and see if your speed improves? The third party could well be using torrents in a big way.
