Aztech DSL605EW Wireless Question

Post by lamig » Sun Aug 07, 2011 8:25 am

I have an Aztech DSL605EW dual antenna with v2.94 firmware. I decided to replace its antenna, while testing the antennas I found out that only the right side works.

Right antenna only: 3-4 bars
Left antenna only: 0 bars
Both: 3-4 bars.

Is this behavior correct or are my settings wrong?

How about using stock firmware? Maybe your antenna is broken or disconnected from the inside...

I have Aztech DSL-605EW dual-antenna also and both antennas work fine in v2.96.

simple check swap the antenna

another possibility
some time some firmware have the option to check diversity

and choose best antenna
ubiquity router stations do

anything that has atheros wifi chip can do it as almost always they have 2 input for antenna its up to manufacturer to implement in software or hardware
