Comprehensive compatibility list for RouterTech firmwares

Post by thechief » Mon May 09, 2011 11:05 pm

Hi all

I think that the time has come to try and create a comprehensive list of routers that are supported "out of the box" by the RouterTech firmwares.

"Out of the box" means that no funny business (like having first to change the bootloader - a la Linksys WAG200G and Netgear DG834G versions 1 to 3) is required. The router needs to have been upgraded to RouterTech only via the web interface, or the RRT, or the PCTool, or raw ftp/tftp.

A script ("router-info") is included with RouterTech firmwares from v2.96 onwards. If you wish to help us with this effort, please login to the router via telnet/ssh (or use the "Run Command" feature in the web interface) and run that script, giving it the manufacturer's name, and the router model name/number (within double quotation marks) as a parameter. The syntax of the script is

Code: Select all

router-info --router="Manufacturer/Model"
Edit: "Manufacturer" should be replaced with the name of the router's manufacturer - e.g., "Solwise". "Model" should be replaced with the model name/number of the router - e.g., "SAR605EW".

Example

Code: Select all

router-info --router="Solwise/SAR-605EW"
And then post the output in this thread. The output is formatted (separated by semi-colons). Please do NOT change anything in the output. Please first ensure that no-one else has already posted information about your router, so that the thread is not clogged up with repetitions.

If you were not able to upgrade to RouterTech using the web interface, please indicate (on a separate line) the method that you used to upgrade (e.g., "PCtool", or "RRT", etc.).

Thanks.

Thanks for this report. However, "Router=Manufacturer/Model" is not the idea. You need to specify the name of the router's manufacturer, and the model name/number of the router. Did you see the example given above? In this case, the correct input should be something like

Code: Select all

router-info --router="Roper/ROADSL2P-WG"
and the output would look like this
Router=Roper/ROADSL2P-WG; Board=AR7WRD; Wireless=Yes; Firmware=RouterTech_3.6.0D_20110502_2.96; Bootloader=PSPboot; Ports=4; Mem=16384kb; Flash=4096kb; Flash_type=AMD; Manufacturer=MACRONIX (AMD-compat).

Thanks. But can this thread be used only for posting the output of the "router-info" command. Other points should be raised in the dedicated discussion thread, please.
