Hello Everybody!
I want to know the setting for setting limit bandwidth to LAN users.
Suppose I have a total bandwidth of 2Mbps and I have 10 LAN users and I want to set bandwidth limit to 300Kbps to anyone of them. So how can it be done?
My LAN users are like this:::
192.168.1.1 (router)
192.168.1.3 (LAN user1)
192.168.1.4 (LAN user2)
....
....
192.168.1.15 (LAN user14)
Please let me know the setting in my router. I am using D-link DSL 2750U. I have read the manual and was unable to find the solution for my problem
Thanks.

You would need something like rshaper or netshaper. I doubt that either of them is available for your router.

Re: How to Limit Router's Bandwidth To LAN users
Thanks but I can't access some of the PCs of LAN users and so I need to controller it through Router.
So is there any setting in router that can limit bandwidth to the specified LAN IP? If you need I can give you the manual of DSL-2750U.
Thanks.

What about QoS? Following table shows Qos Classification details:
Also, what is IP filtering? Incoming/Outgoing IP Filtering ???

QoS, as I understand it, is about determining priorities based on the type of data being transmitted. It may be possible to control IP-based data using QoS, but I wouldn't know how to do it. If your router has iptables (which it should, if the firmware is linux-based), then it might be possible to do what you want using appropriate iptables commands (you will need to ask in an iptables support forum).

Hi Chief,
I would like to know if the firmware of DLink DSL 2750U is Linux based. How can I confirm that?
And also, IP tables that where I can possibly get it.
Here what I got in Device Info Menu:Thanks.
